Don Hahn:
Don Hahn is a two-time Oscar nominated producer of "Beauty and the Beast," the first animated film to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture. His film "The Lion King" broke worldwide box-office records to become one of the top-grossing films in motion picture history and still reigns on the Broadway stage. In all, his films have been nominated for 18 Academy Awards and have won two Golden Globe awards for Best Picture. Born in Chicago Illinois and raised in Southern California, Hahn was trained as a classical musician and artist before joining The Walt Disney Studios. One of his earliest jobs at Disney was as Assistant Director for legendary producer director Wolfgang Reitherman on "The Fox and The Hound" Hahn also served as production manager on "The Black Cauldron," and "The Great Mouse Detective." He began his producing career on the 1988 Amblin/Touchstone Pictures toon-noir film "Who Framed Roger Rabbit." His other producing credits include "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," "Atlantis: The Lost Empire," and the live-action Eddie Murphy hit "The Haunted Mansion." Hahn also directed segments of the IMAX spectacular "Fantasia 2000" for executive producer Roy Disney. Most recently Don served as interim head of Walt Disney Animation Studios during its successful merger with Pixar.
