Nancy Beiman:

Nancy Beiman is a professional cartoonist, animator and illustrator who has lived and worked in England, France, Germany, Denmark, Australia and the USA. She has worked for major animation studios including Walt Disney Productions, Warner Brothers Animation and other major international studios. Lately she has discovered that she prefers teaching to working in the studio system and has also become a book illustrator. Nancy's exceptional new book, "Prepare to Board ~ Storyboard and Character Design for Animated Features and Shorts", was recently successfully launched by Focal Press. Nancy currently lives in Rochester, New York where she is a Visiting Professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Travel is her greatest love and she really enjoys finding out about other cultures and people. She is also a bookworm with a fondness for Websurfing. Nancy feels that the internet isn't quite as good as visiting the countries for real, but she feels it gives you a way of shopping for books in England or records in Holland when you don't happen to be there at the time! Her favorite subjects are history, cartooning, and humor. She believes that laughter is a great gift that was given us so that we could enjoy life, and so she likes to associate with people who know how to have fun and do things that are out of the ordinary. Consequently Nancy considers herself fortunate to have many humorous friends in many parts of the world.
